The items that I pointed to all use a software layer which is not so different from the interchangeable Linux desktop environments (Gnome, KDE, Xfce, Fluxbox, LXDE, Enlightenment, ROX) or window managers (IceWM, FVWM95, BlackBox, Windowmaker, Ratpoison...), they are all just dumbed down and tarted up.
