I used the Ctrl-U feature of Firefox to get the page source to read Larry Godwin's stuff.

I don't know why you 2 have trouble finding Firefox 2. I don't start from the home pages. A long time ago I bookmarked the index for the downloads:

When I want an older version of something I go to:

You can get Firefox 0.8 there if you want to relive history.

As for a firewall I use Outpost 1.0. It's good enough. I recommend that you delete all the addons. It blocks the ports and keeps apps from calling out. That's all a firewall needs to do.
