Slashdot has an article up about M$'s aspirations for IE9
(mainly regarding rendering speed).
Choice bits in the comments include
"Now it will incorrectly render my pages twice as fast!"
...refering, of course, to Internet Exploder's infamous lack of standards compliance:

One guy mentions IE doesn't have extensions like AdBlock for the Mozilla family.
The response is "IE also has a lot of add ons.
Browse the web with it for a while and you will effortlessly collect lots of them."
...refering, of course, to the easily-infected nature of that dreck
due to e.g. ActiveX and Browser "Helper" Objects
--as well as the way it passes those infections on to the OS.
