Hi Bob,
You and I are running the same 2 operating systems. The only difference is mine are
on 2 different computers.
The .dill that doesn't register is (SASWINLO.dll.
It's a known SAS file.
The version I was running was 4.24.0.1004. Without my knowing it, when running an
update on a prompt by SAS they were kind enough to upgrade me from dash 24 to dash
30.
Dash 30 won't work on 98SE.
I cleaned it all out finally, and with a lot of looking found a dash 24. Installed
fine.
Ran it, but when asked to upgrade definitions, I refused.
Did fine with 14 day old definitions. Great.
Re-ran it with updates and opps. Here comes dash 30 again, and it's problems.
Cleaned the mess up, and as of now is dash 24 but as best as I can tell, will not
be able to keep it current.
But SAS tech said 98/98SE accounts for approx. .05% of their accounts, and they can't
justify keeping up with a system with so little demand.
If you got a work around, I'm all ears and eyes.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Jack.....
