msdrv.exe?

msdrv is not a valid windows file. it is the name given to a trojan that makes it look some what official. if you look at this old annoyances article it is specifically associated with Backdoor.Asalym. i would not count on your machine working properly until it is virus free. do a scan with updated .dat files. if the machine is infected, it may have given remote access to your computer and anything else could have been installed.

once it is clean, if it still doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling all your network components...nic...network settings...etc.

once up and running, go to www.grc.com then click on the the ShieldsUp link for clear and easy to follow information on helping to make your machine internet tamper resistant.
