something that is loading is causing a conflict.
Once you get into safe mode, go to start, run and type in MSCONFIG. In the first
tab ( General) go to the " Selective Startup " and click on that radio button to
highlight it. Then uncheck all of the items below it. Now choose APPLY and then OK
and reboot. At this point you should be able to boot into Windows. Now go back and
( ONE AT A TIME ) recheck the each of the items that you unchecked. Then reboot after
each has been rechecked. At some point, you will again run into the same error you
were having. When the error does occurr, go to that folder Listed on a tab to the
right of General and use the same process of unchecking and rebooting and then rechecking
and rebooting. Don't do this ( Checking and unchecking process with Win.ini or System.ini.
It is a long drawn out process.
