Relocating system folders

My c drive is quite small compared to my d drive. Is there a way of relocating (shortcut)
the 'My Documents' folder onto the d drive instead? (But making sure that Win98
still thinks it's on the c drive) I'd also like to do this with my 'Desktop' folder.
