Those are symptoms of a virus although I don't understand how installing Norton AV
would have initiated it. So I assume you can't run the Norton AV. You might want
to hunt around Norton's AV Center.
One way some of these things work is to modify the exefile key in the registry
which prevents .exe files from running. If you want to try modifying the key you
can rename the registry editor, regedit.exe, to regedit.com and it will run as a
.com file. Then go to the following key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command
and edit the Default data by deleting what's there and adding "%1" %*
(that's quote,%,one, quote, space,%,asterisk). Then you should be able to run your
AV program to see what that comes up with.

Please let us know what works.

After installing Norton AV s'ware, and latest def. files, I now

is missing! Never heard of this.. can't find any reference to
ueko.exe anywhere... Reboot does launch windows, but for each
and every program that is supposed to start, I get this error.
I also can't execute any program.. including windows explorer,
or any other program.. HELP!! This is a windows 98 system.
