re: How do I know if cell is too small to print all data

I just tried a little experimenting with Excel and I get the picture. It seems to
me that mostly what I see in the spreadsheet is what I get. If I decrease a row height
too much I lose one of the lines in that cell.
About all I can think of is to increase all your row heights, but I gather that's
a PITA. I would imagine that different printers handle cut off lines differently
but I would think that all the printers would be OK with no cut off lines.
Not much help...

Bob,
thanx for the response.
I'm not sure how to clarify my question, but here goes:
The application is excel 2000. I have several cells which have
hard returns (alt-enter) Print preview shows me that I have
the first line, but It does not highlight the fact that the
second line is being cut off because my row height is not high
enough. Further, when I print it on another printer I get the
second line overtyped on top of the cell beneath. Since it is
another printer, print preview is not showing the effects of a
printer that it does not know about.
Bottom line: it is very possible for me to not be printing all
my data and me not knowing this. And going thru each cell and
looking at the formula bar is tedious.
