Sorry for the dupe post but, my post got archived the same day I posted it and since
you can only reply via e-mail to archive posts, and I'm not sure if my email addr
is correct at this forum, i decided to repost.....
--------------------------------------
i received winme as a gift a few months ago, but i have no urge to install it, ever,
i was thinking of selling it on ebay, but i wanted to know if i could get some winme
stuff to work in win98, if so ill just keep it... can i just extract all the movie
maker files (listed in moviemk.inf in precopy1.cab on the cd), all those files, then
just right click moviemk.inf and choose install, will this work? anyone ever do it?
does movie maker require wmp7 cause i have 6.4 and refuse to upgrade because it causes
problems on my system... thanks

also, any cool things in winme that i can run on 98? i got the winme scandisk and
defrag... even if they are apps win98 already has, if they've changed and are better
in winme i want to try em... for example, notepad.exe hasnt changed, and i dont feel
like browsing all the exes and trying ones that dont work
