Microsoft Update Service Saturday, June 9, 2001 at 12:00 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by David Birmingham (2 messages posted) My Gateway desktop has Microsoft's Windows Update notification installed. The other day I got the pop-up window saying there was a critical update available. I clicked the "Show me" button and got to the Update page just fine, but when I clicked "Product Updates" I haerd the click sound and nothing happened. In the lower corner of the page was a yellow caution icon over a white box and the word error. Anybody know what happened? The last time I used the update service everything worked just fine!
