Stuck in safe mode Saturday, June 9, 2001 at 2:36 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Marilyn (1 messages posted) EVERYTIME I shut down or re-start my computer,it's in safe mode which has safe mode on 4 corners of my screen. I have a new video card. I did get the new Direct X8. I have a VERY difficult time getting it out of this mode and I'm sure it's by accident, I do. When I have to re-start or electic goes off, it's back in safe mode. I just want it to start in normal. I have windows 98 2nd edition. Also, when it is in normal mode, when I scroll down, any program is in a wavy motion as I'm scrolling.
