I decided to do a clean windows install so i fdisk'd my hard drive.I then recreated
the dos partition so now when i type setup at f:> prompt i hear cd-drve firing up
it starts setup gets as far as the message initializing setup checking registry (windows
requires 7002mb(not sure of exact number)drive space to run etc, etc)and then it all
goes quite and freezes and nothing else happens. But it always freezes when that
message comes up but never in the same place on that message some times the whole
message nearly comes up sometimes it barely starts.I have tried both drives cd-rom
and cd-writer and two different(original not copies)of windows 98se but the same
thing happens all the time yet linux will install perfect(wiped of before i try win
98 install). Can somebody please help me because i'm starting to get desperate.CHEERS
IN ADVANCE.p.s my whole system is about 6 months old, except the hard drive which
is about a year old.
