I've never heard of such a problem, but I suggest you start by running an updated virus scan.

Recently restored a norton ghost image of my C drive with Win98SE. Was okay until recently, when I started getting 2 windows explorers open at startup. Got worse and now I have 15 windows explorers open at startup and also the control panel. It keeps changing daily. Can anyone help with this problem?
