You can use the System File Checker (SFC.EXE) to replace system files. Just go to
Start button | Run and enter SFC to run it. You'll need to browse to the win98 folder
on the Win98 CD or to wherever your CAB install files are located, to tell SFC where
to find the needed files. The powrprof.dll files needs to be in C:\Windows\System.

I recently deleted temporary internet files & cookies from my C

a second that read: ' A required .DLL file,
C:\Windows\System\COMDLG32DD, was not found.' When I check Task
Manager, the only thing running is Explorer and something
called AIM (normally I have Explorer & Systray running). I ran
Scandisk & Defrag, but no help. Scandisk did say it found and
repaired a number of damaged files (how did they get
damaged???). Now I'm totally unable to connect to the
Internet. How did I delete this DLL file, and more importantly,
how do I get it back (?) Any help would be most appreciated.
