If I had Office 2000 that thing would drive me nuts. Turn it off until you figure some use for it. You can always turn it back on by setting AcbControl to 0.

Please let us know what works.

Like many others I'm annoyed by the new Word 2000 Clipboard Toolbar. But I see it can be useful, and might very well use it myself in the future. So I don't want to get rid of it altogheter, like described in http://www.annoyances.org/cgi-bin/ce-showtopic/008_003 and http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q207/4/38.ASP. What bothers me is how it puts itself smack in the client area and covers my work. I know I can move it manually to the toolbars area at the top of the Word window, but I wish it would stay there permanently. Now it seems I have to repeat this manual procedure each time I open Word, and for each document opened. I'd be grateful if somebody could suggest a solution. A minor nuisance is the Clipboard Toolbar's warning when the clipboard is full. I don't really need that warning and wish it could be turned off. - Oystein-
