AOL QUESTION

I don't understand why anyone would subscribe to AOL, as compared to an ordinary internet provider. For one thing AOL charges about $24 a month for unlimited hours and the average internet provider charges about $15-$20 a month for unlimited hours. Another thing. When you click on the AOL icon you have to suffer with 4 or 5 advertisement screens before you can get to the URL box! An AOL user has to click the X in the upper right corner 4 or 5 times repeatedly. This is a nuisance to say the least. With an ordinary internet provider as soon as you are connected to the internet, you can click on the Internet Explorer icon or Netscape icon and get acess to the URL box right away. It is true that AOL has content matter but just about everything that you can get on AOL content you can get on the web and bookmark the pages. In view of what I have just stated can anyone think of one good reason to subscribe to AOL? Thank you for your answers. Michael Weston
