Gigabyte is a brand. ATX is a form factor. (ie a type) All motherboards, no matter
what brand, are either AT (older style) or ATX.The key question is whether or
not your machine is powering itself off, or do you have to switch it off after you
shut it down? And yes, if you have added more RAM, it's probably shutting down
quicker. I'd say your machine is doing exactly what it's designed to do, and you
have nothing to worry about.
