This morning(9/13) after a month and a half of problems on my '99 Gateway650 desktop--problems primarily stemming from loss of use of my DSL external modem.....and failing scanning function(and a month in the shop at Gateway), i decided to uninstall my Win98 and start over....but when i inserted the Restoration CD before booting up....and tried to go to this to clear out Windows...i found myself at the A:> prompt and didn't know what to do next......then i ran setup and thought this would prompt me to uninstall the program....and it never did......any ideas for me? I have had many comments from support staff at Gateway, AOL and Efficient Networks that, failing all else, Windows may be corrupted......so i think i should reinstall and start all over again......Peter
