I want to know how to manually change what these programs change to make transparent colors in Win98. I think Microangelo (and I would guess most other programs do the same thing) changes 1/256 of the windows pallette to be a transparent color as it doesnt have one by default. I know it doesnt change the same color on every computer. The reason I want to change this is strictly for customization. I used the color MicroA changed to add to my custom colors. From there I made all my windows and 3d objects transparent. I have Drempels (found at www.geisswerks.com) running in the background for the most awesome effect that NO wallpaper could EVER top.
