I have a question about How do get the taskbar and desktop back if Explorer crashes:

My explorer.exe seems to have crashed, and I need to know if and how I can get my taskbar and desk top back w/o losing the info on my hard drive. I am running windows 98. If I hit control+alt+delete, the close program box comes up, but there are no programs running so all I can do is restart or shutdown. Does anyone have a solution to this problem??? Thanks.
