I went into my Windows\Temp folder and arranged the icons by date to check the earliest and latest, to make sure I didn't delete anything that was created since the last time I booted up (about an hour ago). To my surprise, there wasn't a single file in there that was dated after November, 2001. Is this normal? I thought files were created into this folder all the time. I used to leave my computer on all the time, but hard drive errors when booting up (which I later attributed to a faulty IDE cable) caused me to shut down every night. Rather than delete these files, I have moved them to a new folder, to await a definitive answer on this.
