Incorrect hard drive capacity in Win98s reporting the wrong amount of free space (FAT32 Free Space Bug)'

When I installed a 40GB hard drive selecting FAT32 the BIOS shows it, but in Windows98SE under system information it only shows 2048MB. How can we overcome this?
