Question about 'Share an Internet Connection'

I have a question about Share an Internet Connection:

My boyfriend has a cable connection to the internet and we have set up our computers on a LAN via a crossover CAT5 cable (his is the server). We can share files and I can use my machine to access the internet via his cable connection. However, I cannot work out how to get Outlook Express 6 to check my POP3 mail accounts from my machine. I had to set up his OE6 to read my accounts, which works but would like to do it from my machine too. I have told OE that I am on a lan and not dial up but I guess it is looking for the Yahoo server on the local area network and, of course, it will never find it. OE Help is useless, and so am I, so any advice would be appreciated. Shell
