Question about No ICONS nor taskbar on start up page Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at 9:19 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by RLF (1 messages posted) When I turn on my computer I get only the screen saver picture. There are no Icons nor task bar. I have run my antivirus CDRom thinking maybe that was the problem but it didn't help. I have tried opening it in the "safe" mode by clicking f5 as the computer comes on. Then I get a message that the program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. What can I try next or do I need professional help ?
