I have a question about Connect
to a Windows XP or 2000 system with a Windows 95, 98, or Me system over a Network:
I am trying to connect three computers -- a desktop with XP, a desktop with 98 and
a laptop with ME. I have internet capabilities on all of them using the router and
two wireless network adapters. I am now trying to share files and a printer connected
to the XP. I used the home networking wizard on the XP, and created the setup disk.
I used the desk in the ME laptop, and it set up perfectly. I have no problems with
file sharing on there. But, when I tried to use the disk in the 98, my problems
begin. I run the program off the disk, and it copies the files to the 98 and tells
me I need to restart the computer. After restarting, though, the wizard comes up
and tells me that it "Can't complete the network wizard. Cannot find network hardware."
Once again, I know the hardware is working to some extent, because I have no problem
getting on the internet. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
