Question about 'Share an Internet Connection'

I have a question about Share
an Internet Connection:
Hi,
I've been having some problems with ICS and I'm kind of stuck, and I'd like some
help. I've installed a small network (3 computers). All computers run Win 98 SE and
network works fine. One computer is equipped with an internal Alcatel Speedtouch
ADSL modem, and I wanted to install ICS. I got the installation instructions in this
article and installed everything on host and clients. I haven't been able to get
it to work (on the clients) ever since.
Now there are different things I'm not sure about :
the HOST is equipped with only 1 network card. I understand that in order to use
ICS, the Host needs only 1. Furthermore, even though the network settings are exactly
the same as specified in the article, I have (host PC) a binding NDISWAN-->Alcatel
Speedtouch in the network configuration. The article mentions possible problems,
but no fix, except deletion of it. Won't this impair the internet connection on the
host? When I installed ICS in the first place, the wizard shows all candidates that
'connect to the internet', i.e. a dial-up adapter, network adapter 1, network adapter
2, and the realtek network card (the one used in the network). However, the Alcatel
Speedtouch does not show up in the list, which, if I understand it well, is not so
much of a surprise. Then I checked out the *.log file, where it read that "Alcatel
Speedtouch is not a candidate,... set to WAN or ATM". I've been trying every card
listed and rebooted the host every time, but still no response on the client machines.
Does anyone see where the mistake is?
Thanks,
Johan
