''Bootmulti'' question about 'Contents of the MSDOS.SYS File'

While studying for my Win2000 MCSE I installed a "trial" copy of 2000 Server on my drive, which enabled the Multiboot option at startup. No longer needing this setup, I removed the Win2000 software, and found that the Multiboot option is still present. Per instructions in this article, I opened "msdos.sys" with Wordpad, changed "bootmulti" back to 0 (zero), and saved. Although I've reopened the file to confirm the change, I still get a Multiboot menu at startup? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
