Question about 'Contents of the MSDOS.SYS File'

I have a question about Contents
of the MSDOS.SYS File:
Hello
I only have 5 items in the options part of my msdos.sys file. It states that the
file must remain 1024 kb's size, if i insert other commands will the file still work
as it is obviosly going to get enlarge the file.
