I have a Windows 98 computer and I would like it to shutdown automatically, instead
of seeing a message saying (It is now safe to turn off your computer).I just bought
a new hard drive for my computer and this computer I am on now would not let me install
Windows 98 on here.So I hooked the hard drive up on another computer and it let me
install Windows 98.When that was done I hooked the hard drive back on this computer
and it worked,it loaded Windows 98 up.It works great, but I am now trying to figure
out how to get it to shutdown automatically. My old hard drive that I use to have
on this computer would shut down the computer automatically. Now it won't with this
new hard drive.I'm not sure but I think when i hooked this new hard drive back on
this computer after installing Windows 98 on another computer, that, that might be
the problem. So if anybody knows how to get my new hard drive to shutdown automatically
that would be great.Oh by the way I do have the APM (Advanced Power Management) enable
in the bios setup, just to let all of you know.So thanks to anyone who gives me help!
