I have a question about What
to do about a Page-fault, Illegal operation, or Fatal exception Error:
Hello,
I am using Windows 98 system. I have been experiencing problems logging on. When
I get to the desktop screen I get the following message that pops up:
MSAIRC -this program has caused an problem and will be shut down.
When I click on the details button I get the following:
MSAIRC caused an invalid page default in module at 0000:00000000
registers:
eax=00000000 cs=0000 eip=00000000 eflgs=00000000 ebx=00000000 ss=0000
esp=00000000 ebp=00000000 ecx=00000000 ds=0000 esi=00000000 fs=0000 edx=00000000
es=0000 edi=00000000 gs=00000000
bytes at cs:eip
When I try to close the message box I get another popup message that says:
runtime error 216 at 1314594d
After that my keyboard and screen freezes. I have tried to work in safemode but
that limits many of the things that I can do. Any and all help to remedy this problem
will be appreciated.
Thanks
