You can completely remove IE and then reinstall, this usually corrects strange file
related problems.
- Download the Microsoft Internet Explorer ie6setup.exe file
and save it to your drive.
- Download IEradicator.
Run it to completely remove IE.
- Run the ie6setup.exe utility to reinstall while connected to the Internet.
- Visit the Windows Update site to install the latest Service Packs.
