Question about 'What to do about a Page-fault, Illegal operation, or Fatal exception Error'

I am running Internet Explorer 5.0 and McAfee Viruscan 5.0 with system scan, download scan, and internet filter enabled. When accessing the internet(especially Yahoo) I get fatal exception OE in VXD MCSCAN32 and VXD VWIN32. I usually then get kicked out of IE back to the desktop, or to a black screen and have to warm reboot. I have tested the memory on a memory module tester and it passed with flying colors. Any help would be appreciated.
