Question about 'Prevent file corruption problems'

My system has problems that seem to be related: It hangs intermittently - it won't even respond to ctrl-alt-del. On a good day, I just get many Illegal Operation errors. And it absolutely won't boot unless I pull the plug out, and sometimes not even then. After many tries, I finally managed to run Scandisk. I've tried to run Dr. Watson, but it won't run, even though the file is in my system. I've also checked for device conflicts and can't find any. I AM STUMPED! tk

Tom,
You might want to download the Symantec's trial version of "Norton Utilities 2001".
Run the "WinDoctor" and 'System Check", and let the program fix the problem.
