Question about 'Uninstalling Windows'

I have a question about Uninstalling
Windows:
I recenlty installed windows2000, and choose not to install it over win98 because
i wanted to make sure it worked before i erased win98.
Well it works well, but now i can't uninstall windows because the uninstall files
are gone.
Is it OK to boot using a Boot Disk and then "deltree c:\windows\*.*" ?
Please help me i got no space on my hard drive and no money to buy a new one !!
thnx
Jonathan.

If you installed win2k after starting from a boot disk and defined a directory
other than 'windows' for it to use, then it shouldn't have put anything there
that you need.
HOWEVER+++ If you've since installed applications that place .dll's, etc, you
can't be certain that it put them in the correct directory. If you have all the
installation disks, you can remedy that, tho.
I would suggest that you rename it first from a dos prompt, boot up normal
and if everything works ok, deleting it should be fine.

My sister-in- law deleted her win 98 by accident. Is there any way she can restore
it to use or does she need to buy a new win98 or would a boot disk get me back into
her computer?"
