I have an H/P pavilion 367 it is equipt. with windows 98 I have never been able to install anything such as a scanner, or latest try a ezonics camera. My wifes computer has a newer version windows 98. I attempted to install it. when it gets to (initializing driver data base). setting up hardware finalizing settings it freezes the mach in the last 16 min of set up need recovery disk to get out. .........Help please???

Dear Tom:

I am having a similar problem with Windows 98 (not the Second Edition).  I am having 
difficulty installing a scanner to USB, using Windows 98.

Apparently, there are quite a few difficulties encountered with Windows 98 when USB 
support is required.
