Question about 'Using .CAB Files'

I have a question about Using .CAB Files:

This directs users of windows 98 to the Microsoft CabView utility, but when I reach the download page it says; "NOTE: This download is not intended for use on computers running Microsoft® Windows® 98, or on computers running Microsoft® Windows® 95 OSR 1 or earlier versions." so, does anybody else know about Windows 98 and cab files?

This is basically telling you that the Powertoys were not developed for the operating systems listed - basically it's a "we're not responsible when it blows up" statement. You can actually install each of the utilities separately, and I see no reason why CabView would not work in any of the operating systems listed.

A CAB file viewer is built into Win98. There's no need to install the Power Toy.

Greetings, Bob and thank you for the info about the built in cab viewer in win 98. To bad that you didn't say how and where to find it and use it!
