You need to provide much more information than this. Is it a server running a server
OS that you are connected to? Is the server properly configured as a print server?
What type of network is it? Are you using UTP or co-ax?
All of these things could be affecting it.

Make sure you have your printer set up as a shared resource by right clicking your
printer and selecting sharing.
