Since it is a Compaq , that usually means the win98
disk / cab files SHOULD be somewhere on the
hard drive.
Look for an entry called win98 or wincabs or options
or cab files or something along those lines.
(usually on the C: drive)
When the installer ask for the disk ,you can point
it to that location.
Did you not receive a "restore disk" with the computer?
-normally that is where the win98 files are on
proprietary computers of this type...
Someone owes you a disk.....

Just one more thing. The tweak UI programme that is mentioned on this forum. The
word tweak came from a Northern Ireland internet company called sourceni. Each time
their clients internet sites did not appear. that companies excuse was that they
were tweaking the system. tweak could be a word that hackers latched on to ui is
abbreviation for uninstall. hence uninstall tweak. Hackers advice happy tweaking.
