How to uninstall Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. Select Internet Explorer Error Reporting. Click Add/Remove. Restart

If you cannot find Error Reporting in Add/Remove Programs here is another way to stop Error Reporting. In Registry Editor (Regedit.exe), create a DWORD value called IEWatsonEnabled and set it to 0 in the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

I did as you suggested but with no luck. A cant get the DWORD value to anything but 0x00000000 (0) And also under main there is a folder called "error thresholds. should I put the key there?

To stop ERROR REPORTING in Windows XP:

Just simply go to "Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services"

Find "Error Reporting Services"
Right-Click on it, choose "Properties"

Change Startup Type to "Disabled"
Click on Stop under "Service Status"

There ya go! Quick and Easy!

Cheerz // Fibblebane

PS: There are many more things you can disable there, but be carefull! Some things
need eachother to function!

Ever think of actually READING what appears on your screen?
ESPECIALLY THINGS IN BIG RED BOXES.
http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/win98/post?1100619955

I'll bet you didn't read the entire thread before posting to it either.
http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/win98/t1010589634

Posting to an ancient thread
whose Subject line has NOTHING to do with YOUR problem
seems like a foolish way to get good help
--especially when you say something like:
|i am also getting this same message.
| trish

The SMART thing to have done would have been
1) Start your own thread (as suggested).
2) Make the Subject of that thread reflect the nature of YOUR problem.

Ah. There. I feel better now.
