Britney,
Have you made sure there isn't a disk in your floppy drive? If there is, remove it
and try to reboot. If this doesn't solve the problem and you've made sure there are
no disks in any of the drives, you may have a problem with your hard drive. If so,
more troubleshooting will be necessary.

Hello Britney:
You are correct. You need a Windows 98 start up Disk.
If you computer supports CD booting, you can set up your bios for CD
booting. Make sure you Win 98 CD is in the CD player and reatart the computer.
You will be presented with a menu that will allow you to boot into Windows.
This will not correct the problem but may allow you to trouble shoot the
computer.
The invalid system disk means that the File allocation table may be damaged.
It will have to be repaired before the computer will boot from the hard drive again.
The hard drive could also be the problem if it is malfuctioning.
Good luck
Wayne

That comes up, because you left a floppy disk in the drive. =)

if there's no non-system diskette in the floppy drive, then you need to get your
hands on a windows 98 startup diskette (you can make one from pretty much any windows
98 machine by going to add/remove programs in the control panel and selecting the
startup disk tab.). pop it into the floppy drive, turn the machine on, and
when it's done booting, enter this at the prompt:
sys c:
eject the diskette, hit ctrl+alt+del or the reset button, and pray that it works...

Well, I don't find that true. I have used windows 2000's cd and boot disk to boot
from my system and others in the past.
I am having the same problem btw. I defraged my hard drive and rebooted and now I
get that error.

Rohit,
Have gotten the same IE Script error message. It is about impossible to get rid of.
No matter what choice I make, it pops up with annoying regularity. Since you haven't
gotten a reply for 5 months, not optimistic.
