Question about 'Set Defaults in Explorer'

I have a question about setting defaults in explorer for the size of the window that an application appears as. I somehow changed a setting so that applications appear with bigger text and take up so much space that the edges are out of frame. Thanks.

at the top of IE go -- view -- text sizes --- and select what you want ---- this
options does work on every web page if the web page designer set the size of the
text it overrides this
