Just to get you started, here’s some information that might address your ‘unasked’
question or questions:
First, system resources are not the same as RAM. Regardless of how much system RAM
you have in your system, you can still experience low system resources.
Here’s a some articles that may be helpful to look over: The first involves MS Word;
the second
is about using resource meter and the last, a simple ‘tour’ on low resources:
WD: Error
Message: System Is Dangerously Low on Resources (Q307814)
How to
Use the System Resource Meter Tool in Windows 98 and Windows Millennium Edition (Q300059)
Low Resources

follow these steps to overcome low system resources.
start>run>msconfig>startup>under startup tab uncheck all the files except the scanregistry,
system trey, task monitor, load power profile.
after that click on apply and then click on ok button when do that it will say u
to restart the computer click on yes.
it will definately increase the system resources....
and one thing more and when the system comes back at the desktop there will be msg
that system is runing under selective startup on the bottom of that window there
is a msg that don't show this msg again check that and then click on ok button.
and try to do the disk cleanup....that will help.
and moreover u can increase the system memory of the computer.

If this message comes up on microsoft word, search for a file NORMAL.DOT and delete
it.... then click start-run, type MSCONFIG, click OK.. you will get SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
UTILITY window... uncheck everything under the startup tab except scanregistry, system
tray, task monitor, pc health, load power profile and your anti virus( norton or
macafee).. click apply/ok( if u don't find these items which are not to be unchecked
in windows xp, don't worry, its supposed to be that way) .. it would prompt you to
restart the computer, click yes to restart... when the computer boots back up you'll
get a window with a message "you have used system configuration utility....." on
this window click where it saya do not show this message again and then click ok...
and u r good to go********
:)
