You have to change the name of system files within a dos window. Go to ms-dos and
at the c: prompt use the rename command to rename the file.

as long as file attributes (in properties) aren't set to "system", you can rename
them in explorer. I just tried it with logo.sys and there was no problem.

Does anybody know how to rename a file extenstion from Windows? This works in ms-dos,
but I would rather that microsoft W98 would allow me this pleasure of.

I am having the same problem- my filenames are logo.sys.bmp, logos.sys.bmp, and logow.sys.bmp.
I can't rename them in explorer. I don't know how to rename them in dos, if someone
could explain that command it would be alot of help.
