Usually at the beginning of a reboot the BIOS type and version number will flash
by very quickly. You can look for it, but your best bet may be to hunt around the
web site of your computer's manufacturer.

On some systems the System Information will show the BIOS and the rev.

if you're quick, you can usually hit the pause key when you see the number, then
hit the space bar to continue booting.
