I have a question about What to do about error messages during Windows startup:

I'm receiving the following message on startup: "Unable to initialize virus scanning Database files". Windows freezes at that point and when I reboot, sends me into safe mode. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing this problem? Thanks!

From Safe Mode I suggest you go to Start button >> Run and enter msconfig. In the Startup tab turn off your virus scanning program and reboot. If you can now get to Windows maybe you can fix the problem with your virus scanner.
