The surest way to disable the 'Show Files'thingy is to either rename or delete entirely the file named folder.htt in both the c:\windows and the c:\windows\system directories. you may want to just rename and study the file to find out how to do this for other folders that you don't want other (less computer- literate) people getting into assorted directories (such as the one that holds all your nudie pics).
