Question about 'Troubleshooting Driver Problems'

Hi I would like to know how to trouble shoot Windows 98 Video driver problems. I have a MSI MS6195 K7 Pro Motherboard running Windows 98. I have tried two Nividia Video Cards with all the proper drivers and they both freze the system every 5 minuets or so. Windows says there are no conflicts and I get no errors. One card is a Nividia GeForce 3 TI 200 64meg and the other is a RIVA TNT2 32meg It seems to run ok in Windows but Frezes when I use anything this with DirecX. The Microsoft Direct X Tests all pass perfectly. How can I check to see what might be causing this. What can I do to find out what is causing the lock up? Thanks a Buch. Jim

Hi Jim I had a similar problem with my MSI H7T Pro (ms6330) motherboard and a gforce2 Mx card running win 98se, I eventualy traced it to a motherbaord bios problem so try the msi site.
