I have a question about Change
the Icons of Desktop Items:
There is no Hkey_classes_root\CLSID in win 98 se so How do you change the icons?
I like a blank desktop with out hidding the whole desktop

There most certainly IS a CLSID folder in
hkey_classes_root in 98se.......
It's about 2/3rds of the way down in the listing ,after
the list turns to capital letters.......
Under the "C's" (alphabetical listing)
Click on the + sign beside the listing HKEY_CLASSES...
a REALLY long list will drop down underneath it
Scroll down until you find CLSID........

There is a check box in desktop properties, Effects. You can hide icons when used
as web page.

There is definitely a HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID key in the Win98 se registry. Better
look again.

You click START button...
Click RUN....
enter regedit into the box..
Click OK....
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT is the topmost entry
Click on the + sign beside it.....
