There is another free app called Transparent. I've tried
them both, and Transparent is better, IMHO. Sorry I don't have a link for you.

I have that problem sometimes. If you Ctrl+Alt+Del once and "End task" the disappear.exe
that's running, then start it again, it'll usually work.
